For hard water - Meets Part L Regulations
The UK’s Building Regulations recognise the impact that water hardness and scale can have on hot water systems and heating appliances.
Where hard water presents a risk of scale formation, appropriate scale control measures should be considered as part of the installation. Heating Pack E provides a convenient solution for installers working in hard water areas, helping to protect heating systems from the effects of limescale and support compliance with relevant Part L requirements.

What is included in a Calmag Heating Pack?
A central heating filter is a filtration device installed into a heating system to capture sludge, corrosion products and other debris from circulating system water.
What is the difference between a heating filter and a chemical inhibitor?
A magnetic filter uses magnetic attraction to capture ferrous particles, including magnetite, from central heating system water.
Why does the Heating Pack contain both an inhibitor and a filter?
The two products provide complementary protection. The inhibitor helps protect the system against corrosion, while the filter helps capture debris circulating through the system.
What is Caldensate?
Caldensate is an acidic waste neutraliser designed to treat acidic condensate produced by modern condensing boilers before it is discharged into the drainage system. The material needs to be replaced annually, so a refill cartridge is available to ensure long term continued treatment.
